Jeddah [Saudi Arabia], May 4: The annual Jeddah Season kicked off along the Jeddah Art Promenade with waterfront firework shows in the Saudi coastal city on Monday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
The two-month event features 2,800 activities including performances, exhibitions and games of international and Arab themes at nine venues.
This was the second edition of the entertainment festival, following the first Jeddah Season in 2019 attracted tens of millions of visitors from the kingdom and beyond. The ones planned for 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the first time, the season will include 70 interactive events, more than 60 games, and marine programs to delight Jeddah's residents and visitors.
Director-General of the Jeddah Season Nawaf Qumusani noted that the 2022 Jeddah Season would bring joy and happiness to visitors with different interests and of all ages.
The annual Jeddah Season bears the city's ambition of becoming a major destination for tourism, entertainment, and festival events in the region.
