Hanoi [Vietnam], May 7: Following the press conference announcing the copyright on the afternoon of May 5th, the Miss Vietnam National Pageant officially launched with a focus on community values and a commitment to transparency in the judging process.
Unlike typical titles, the concept of "national" is explained by the organizers of Miss National Vietnam as a search for individuals with a strong moral foundation, positive lifestyle, and social skills. Representatives of the organizing unit emphasized that contestants need to possess knowledge and confidence to build rapport with the public, rather than creating unrealistic role models.
From a staging perspective, general director Trung Hoang stated that the competition will focus on the contestants' personal growth and ability to inspire, rather than solely on stage performances. The long-term goal is to promote kindness and social responsibility alongside physical appearance.
Given the reality of many beauty pageants being controversial regarding their results, the organizers affirm that transparency will be prioritized. Accordingly, scores will be quantified specifically, verified by an independent judging panel, and include audience voting to ensure the legitimacy of the winner.
Regarding cosmetic surgery regulations, the competition accepts contestants who have undergone cosmetic procedures but emphasizes natural harmony. The organizers stated that points will be deducted if the cosmetic surgery detracts from individuality or creates imbalance, while prioritizing the contestant's demeanor and intelligence.
In addition to the official titles, the winning contestant will receive further training in foreign languages and skills to participate in international competitions, and will also commit to participating in charitable activities after winning the crown.
Journalist Huynh Ngoc Kim Trang serves as the head of the organizing committee, while People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi is the head of the judging panel. The Miss Vietnam National Pageant is expected to enter its most crucial stage at the end of July 2026.
